NESSA BARRY, Associate Partner, Real Estate – Residential Property Team
Nessa has over 15 years’ experience in complex and high value residential property transactions in and around Central London and surrounding areas. Her experience means that she predominantly acts for private clients (both UK and international), developers, domestic lenders and overseas banking institutions.
Nessa deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing. She handles both freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and other general work including declarations of trust, voluntary lease extensions and deeds of variations.
She provides her clients with clear, calm and straightforward advice, whether it is in relation to a particular conveyancing issue or regarding the sale/purchase process in general. Many clients have applauded her ability to explain complex legal issues in straight forward language they can easily understand.
JOANNE PRICE, Dispute Resolution Team
Joanne joins us with a strong background in dispute resolution matters. She has over 20 years’ experience as a litigator and primarily acts for commercial and residential landlords and tenants resolving a wide range of property disputes. Her expertise covers a wide spectrum of property disputes including landlord and tenant (commercial and residential), forfeiture and possession claims, rent and service charge recovery, lease renewals (opposed and unopposed) as well as real property disputes such as boundary disputes and right of light claims.
Joanne also has broader experience in commercial dispute resolution and has advised and acted in contract disputes, company and shareholder disputes and insolvency matters.
Joanne is known and respected for representing clients in the High Court, County Court and First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) as well as appellate courts. Her approach adapts to occasion and need; she is able to successfully deliver both robust and aggressive as well as pragmatic and non-adversarial stances. She always fights hard to protect the interests of her clients and is known for her pragmatic and determined manner.
