JPC grows from strength to strength with the addition of 6 new lawyers joining the team

We are delighted to announce that on Friday 23rd September 2022, JPC reached an agreement with Hodders Law Limited and Administrators, Quantuma Advisory Limited, to assist them by providing former private client, real estate and dispute resolution clients with continuity of service in respect of their on-going matters.

Unfortunately, Hodders Law Limited (Hodders) was placed into Administration on Friday 23rd September 2022 and as such has ceased operations. Hodders is known for advising businesses and high-net worth individuals with particular expertise in dispute resolution, private client, employment law, family and litigation work. The agreement that has been reached between the parties represents an excellent opportunity for JPC to continue with its strategic growth plans to further expand its services as a fully serviced law firm whilst at the same time providing immediate assistance and support to clients.

Consequently, JPC today welcomes 6 additional lawyers from Hodders to join JPC’s ever expanding Dispute Resolution, Private Client and Real Estate Teams.

JPC’s existing Dispute Resolution Team is today joined by:

· James Tompkins

· Simon Cook

· Dylane Dawkins

Additionally, Sharlene Reid joins JPC’s existing Private Client Team with Stephen Rehder and Carol Reimann joining our Residential Real Estate Team.

Commenting on the closing of the agreement, Yashmin Mistry, JPC’s Managing Partner said:

In a market-place where there has been a significant reduction in small to medium size firms providing high quality commercial services, we are really excited by the expansion to our team of lawyers. The lawyers from Hodders have a fantastic reputation for carrying out quality work and “punching above their weight”. With Hodders strengths in Private Client and Dispute Resolution we have the opportunity to broaden the legal services we currently offer our high net-worth clients. This expertise together with our acknowledged calibre in company/corporate work, enfranchisement, property, bridging finance, property dispute resolution and employment will increase and widen the experience of our team to the benefit of all our clients”.

Andrew Morgan, Corporate Partner & Head of JPC’s M&A’s Team, says of the agreement that has been reached:

The agreement increases the quality and depth of legal services we can offer. There is a great synergy between the types of work the lawyers from Hodders do and what our existing team here at JPC offer. We also have similar cultures and outlooks that we encourage. I believe that with the combined experience and reputation of the lawyers joining #TeamJPC reaching agreement here was a compelling opportunity which we had no hesitation in entering into”.
