Yashmin Mistry achieves ‘hat-trick’ in the Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards

We are delighted to announce that JPC’s Head of Property, Yashmin Mistry has won the ‘Solicitor of the Year’ award for a third time at the prestigious Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards. Yashmin previously won the award in 2011 and 2015.

The annual Enfranchisement and Right to Manage Awards brings together experts from across the Property Management and Residential Leasehold industry to celebrate excellence and professionalism.

Senior Partner, Steven Porter comments “This is a major success which is thoroughly well-deserved and is testament to Yashmin’s hard work, expertise and dedication. We consider that recognition by Yashmin’s peers is the highest accolade.”

This year has been a busy and interesting one for Yashmin and the leasehold sector as a whole. Throughout 2018, Yashmin was called upon by the Law Commission to assist with its 13th Programme of Law Reform, which has identified numerous problems with residential leasehold law. The Law Commission has been tasked with improving consumer choice and providing greater fairness and transparency for leaseholders. Yashmin has been heavily involved with the Law Commission’s work. She has also been asked to sit on the Law Commission’s expert panel to give her views on the reforms and contribute to a debate. The award therefore means so much more this year.
