Graham Jaffe

Career

Graham ran a thriving practice in New Zealand before coming to London and joining Roiter Zucker in 1990 where he headed up the Private Client Department until December 2007 when he left to form Jaffe Porter Crossick LLP. Graham remains enrolled as a non-practising solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is frequently referred clients by the New Zealand High Commission. He is a Commissioner for Oaths for New Zealand and able to witness many documents where these are to be signed by New Zealanders overseas.

Summary of Work

Graham focuses on leasehold enfranchisement where he is a recognised expert with over twenty years experience acting for freeholders, intermediate landlords and tenants. He is highly experienced in all aspects of enfranchisement work. Graham also undertakes all types of residential property work including complex non-contentious landlord and tenant work and management matters.

Graham regularly contributes to webinars and leasehold forums. He has also regularly provided content to publications such as News on the Block, Flat Living Magazine and Leasehold Life on behalf of JPC Law.

Skills and Approach

Graham brings people together and facilitates deals in a manner that goes beyond the remit of conventional property lawyers. His tenacity, and his ability to communicate and lead, are attributes which contribute greatly to his success in encouraging tenants to take charge of the property they live in, negotiate a fair price with the landlord, carrying the matter forward to completion.

Graham has an excellent track record for achieving his clients’ aims but above all is pragmatic and is realistic about what can be achieved. He takes into account commercial realities, speed, the cost of time and the stress which can be involved in legal processes.

Hobbies and Interests

Graham spends much of his time gardening and has a passion for organic and healthy cooking. He enjoys travelling with his family, particularly to coastal locations. Graham also has a penchant for Jewish  genealogy.
